gnasher16 30,451
Congratulations to the Hammers. If I was a bitter Man Utd fan I could probably moan about the team selection or some other bollocks, but there were still probably 11 first choice international players out there and the history books will record it as a West Ham win. You say that Malt buts its worth remembering we had our 3 best players out last night,Parker,Noble and Piquionne have been our ONLY players this season who have been on their game.....thats a disadvantage that dont compare to Utd having " some " of their players out when our best players are not really on par with Utds replacements !....the reality is Ferguson disrespected West Ham and thought the team he put out was good enough for a comfortable win.....when the truth is the 11 men playing for West Ham out worked, out fought and out played the 11 men playing for Man utd.... That dont make us West Ham fans get above ourself we know we will still be playing championship footie next year and in general we are a poor premiership side at the moment....but it does give a little hope that our players can fight for the shirt when they want to....and that will give any fan a bit of pride. gnasher16 30,451
fair play west ham...you can only beat whats put in front of you!!! And mighty Manchester Utd can only beat whats in front of them as well.....so you would think playing a bottom of the table side with its 3 best players missing would amount to slightly more than being played off the park in a one sided 4 nil defeat..... You see when your used to losing you accept it and say well done with a handshake....when your not used to losing you give backhanded compliments like " well done you can only beat whats in front of you " Those Utd players last night thought that wearing the club badge was enough to guarentee victory and it wasnt.....couple that with a good solid performance from a very under strength West Ham side and i cant see what any genuine decent Man Utd fan could possibly have to complain about. Can't argue with that Gnash, as I said the United team was still riddled with first choice international players, it's not as if it was some youth team. We got flogged fair and square on the night by the better team.

Only for financial reasons is it important to stay up....but sometimes you gotta take one to give one ....if you get my meaning. You have said what most people say....BUT....this is not a buying club, never has been.....West Ham have a fantastic tradition of bringing through young local players and has done a better job of it than any other club in England....that is what this club was built on.....not buying average foreign players picking up a wage packet ! Avram Grant has a reputation for buying abroad.....these are players no better than we have coming through the reserves they just get wages with a few more 00,s on the end ! We dont need to attract players simple as that,we just need to return to our traditions of what made this a great club....and that is a solid honest work ethic to the game. Gold and Sullivan are proven....yes they have too much to say on football matters nobodies perfect.....they have stuck with what they inherrited in Grant, but it wont last, that im sure of.....they are local guys and understand the passion round these parts so i believe they will do the right thing given time.
