canon g11

hay all, am thinking of getting the g11 for crimbo, i have wanted it for ages but never getting roung to getting it! any one use them and what you think of them?

I don't have one, but a friend often carries one around with him as an alternative to his heavy DSLR kit, and he loves it! Image quality is very good and it's quite well-built.

Hey TMD ,I don't have the G11 but i do have the G10, its a great little camera, i take it with me when i don't want to take a big DSLR with me, it does have its limitation though, I've found with the G10 that anything higher than iso 400 is pretty grainy and rough but thats what happens when you put a lot of MP on a small sensor, but lots of people have said that this has improved greatly on the G11, another thing that its not that great for is quick action shots, there is some shutter lag, what it is good for is general shots, panoramic landscpes, and that kind of stuff , i use mine mainly when i'm out hunting, i can throw it in its bag and use it like a Point&Shoot and it takes nice quality pictures, its not a substitute for a DSLR, but it is a handy little camera

yer a wanted the g10 myself coyote but is been discontinued a think and thats why a looking at the g11. a think am going to get it so when and if a do al let you know what i think.
