kris 0
Beddlington crosses are very game myself and my brother have two first cross bitches from the same litter and they both work all leagal quarry. Before the ban they coursed hares on fenland around kingslynn and both were capable of 2 out of 2 when at peak fitness, they have taken loads of foxes and countless deer, my brothers bitch opened up at about 7 months old when on her first lamped rabbit and does every now and then so my advice is to catch some rabbits and drop them in the open for yours to run this should settle it down after a few runs. Happy hunting. This is a picture of my bitch purdy at 6 years old her jacket aint much because it is mid summer. Quote Link to post

chartpolski 23,953
The sire to my pup is Pat Blewitts "Flynn", he's a 1st X Beddy/Grey from Heartbreak Fell kennell, and a top allrounder. My pups Dam is deer/grey-whipet/grey, but as you can see in the photo, she has thrown to her sires side. Cheers. Quote Link to post

gaz 284
im glad to hear the beddie crosses are getting the credit they deserve on this site, haven,t heard too much mentioned about them since being on here, shame really as they are cracking wee dogs.only there lack of size that holds them back sometimes on the bigger stuff, but this said they never lack bottle, ive two at present, one is a pup not started yet, the other (first cross 23inch) whose working days are coming to a end now has been a smashing lurcher on rabbit, fox, rat and hare on the right ground and a bit of luck sometimes with the latter.ive had six of these crosses over the years and ive never been let down with any, always done everything asked of them never quit once, whether run hard on very rough terrian or at the sharp end with charlie.incedently my old beddie cross now makes a good gundog, still has first class nose and retrieves back to hand, although now everything he mouths seems to a bit crushed and bruised to the lad who asked about them on the first post, get yourself one you,ll not regret it,they will still want to hunt long after you have had enough Quote Link to post
