You might find insurance is sky high at the moment, ive just had my renewal quote back for over 600, its doubble to what it was last year, got about 150 knocked off it, but its still high and its the same were ever i look, been driving for 5 years, with 5 years NCB. TOPPER 1,809
the girls 18 and been driving almost a year and the boy is 20 and has 12 mths NCB now but he could hit a telegragh pole in a fifty acre field no problem he s acrap driver the girls is far better get the lad a diesel far cheaper than a petrol, the boy started with a renult 1.9 turbo D clio as this was cheaper to insure than a 1.2 corsa that he fancied and that clio would knock spots of a corsa
Guest arch1
Our Daughter is a named driver on a Fully comp multi car policy with Admiral. Shes 18, passed her test in September. But the car is hers, 52 plate petrol Corsa. Added about £150 to the policy i think. Shes been involved in 2 bumps already (Women drivers eh) The insurance company paid out both times with no questions asked.
maty j 6
Pass plus did nothing for me 3 years ago! I started out paying 1800 quid and even on my 3rd year am paying 800 quid on a 1.2 clio.

slingshot82 32
Try adding yourself or your missus onto your sons policy, that usually brings it down a bit, also tell them he will be doing less than average miles, say 8k per annum. And if you have a garage or driveway tell them thats where it will be kept (even if it wont be) Different postcodes also make a difference with crime rates etc, if you know anyone in a different county with a low crime rate, put that as the address it will be kept and registered at ATB mate Kyle
steve123 29
quin direct ,my 18 year old son just passed , in his own rover 1.4 8v engine £1250 the best by far ,other quotes were around the 4k mark this was in may 2010 good luck
PeakOil 352
Change his name to Mohammed and don't bother with any insurance. Our kid just got a 9 year old 1.2l Fiesta, cheapest was Quinn Direct but that was still over a grand with pass plus, doing 7-8k a year and keeping it on the drive. FightTheBan 1,147
Buy him a fiat cinquento. He will be that embarrased he will not want to take it out and won't need insurance. Sorted. FTB
