sounder 9
well lads after a good day's digging on saturday, taz100 and myself went out for a walk on sunday hoping to get a fox to ground , we used he terrier a old dog he is semi-retired but still used on fox now and again long story short the dog entered a rock pile at around 15.00 after about hour or so the dog had not moved, just baying away but not a bark that sounded like he was on we had him on the box at about 12 foot , we started rooted away for afew hour but as the light went at about 12.30 and it was -7 here, we called it a night as we needed more gear to move some big rock , taz100 round up afew young lads and head back up to start digging again i could not get off work till 12.oo then headed up to him , the boy's were down about 7 foot and a good clear space made, we used a good size trolly jack to lift rock up and out of the way , we had one big rock proped up by two 2 by 3 :'( , we opened up a hole where i could see the dog about another two foot down , carefully moveing some small rock's we got him freed, he had dug on and the earth around him caved in and he was stuck hard, it was some rescue dig, and some dog that was in for 24 hours, fair play to the lads that helped some size of stones that was moved, here a photo of the dig , atb sounder fcuk me they rocks are some size glad you got the terrier back atb Keano cheers for the reply's lad the dog is worth all the work but it's harder to replace any terrier , atb sounder Quote Link to post
