Catcher. do you mean guarantee the pups health if it dies or guarantee its going to work? If i sold a pup i defo would guarentee its health but its impossible to guarantee that pup will work even if its from the longest ,tightest best lines in the world it might not do what its bred for . your just edging your bets with a very well bred pup its got more chance than a scatter bred cur ,still a large proportion of luck involved. Catcher. understand what you say .. but what about the person on the end of the lead!! ie.. is the pup given the correct food training and opertunaties? but if the pup got sick through a genetic fault ,, a good breeder should replace it , or refund the cost /new pup, Quote Link to post

Yeah but you gotta remember Catcher that litter all went local and were brought on watching their dam and sire work plus there was plenty of kit about at the time. Most litters dont have that advantage. Quote Link to post
Catcher 1 639
iv heard of lads guaranteeing "made" dogs as it were that have turned out to be shite when trialed so not sure how anyone could honestly guarantee the working performance of a pup even with the best breeding in the country its likely that some tit owner would soon f**k it up. you could guarantee the pup but you could never gurantee its owner therefor its flawed from the start How long would it take before you had some fool back after six month.Shoulting the dog is no good. Ideation 8,216
You can only go so far as guaranteeing that 'if trained and entered properly' it should be able to do the job it was bred to do. Although i got a sort of guarantee with the lat pup i got, basically that if i was disappointed in the dog with regard to its physical capabilities or prey drive i could have my money back. poacher3161 1,766
I would never guarantee a lurcher pup no matter how well bred.Though i do guarantee the springers i breed though they are a whole different ball game than lurchers plus its helped that their bred from generations of workers wich imho helps your chances of getting a good working dog be it a gundog ,terrier or lurcher. 1 Quote Link to post
