i want to get my dog hunting HELP

I have a 8month old jack russell pup i am very interested in hunting and think it is great i watch video clips all the time of terriers and lurchers hunting i really want to start.I have wanted to go hunting for a year or two so i got a jack russell to hunt but no one in my family hunt. And im only 13 so doubt anyone will let me go along does anyone know how i can get started im thinking of starting him on rats at the min then onto rabbits i live in newtownards northern ireland and i dont know where to go for a start or what to do when i get there well i have an idea from watching video clips and talking to people.

just get out and walk the hedges / scrub anywere you can find some quarry , farms sewage works etc are good for a rat or two the thing is as i told somebody the other day just get out there and do it the dog won t learn out in the kennel

yep thats what i did as a kid. just went moochin the dogs introduced me to hunting

i had a mongrel and a lakie cross staff but fock could they hunt and kill anything

some years ago now a friend came to me house he had a young kid wit him who had a russel which had killed a few rats on his dads alotment anyway this day the russel had gone to ground in a small 2 hole set in a ditch, behind the alotment on a fox, so the kid and his dad paniced. the kid went for me mate, to help and the dad stayed at the holes anyhow i took me dog , locater, spade and went along

as we were goin down the track toward the ditch. we seen the dad walkin up with the russel smashed, yes it had came out the kid was pissed when he saw the dog so away we went dropped me dog in

4 foot dig downt to the fox which i promptly despatched the fockin kids face

he was nearly cryin i never seen him after that but me mate said it had disturbed the kid seein the fox killed i wouldnt mind but all the way to the set the kid was gabbin away to me''do you hunt fox ,, i wanna hunt foxes'' ect ect careful what ya wish for good luck kid.
