davyt63 1,845
Hi every one A social meet was agreed, between a few local members to us on here! Andy& Archie, Lighthunter, Rekowski, Hunter1989, Rossi_i, Fred, Myself, We all decided to meet up at old downs HFT club, local to all of us! http://www.old-downs-pursuits.co.uk/ After a coffee and a chat, and a quick zero session the game was on! Here are some pics of the HFT competitors. I must say Sean the club owner has done a great job on the course, some really tricky shots!! As the targets were placed very well and made it even more of a challenge to hit the kill zone! We all got of to a good start, but came to target number 3 was a challenging shot, which we all plated as it was very well placed! Then once we got the hang of it, they were going over no problem! I dropped 8 points and had a total of 52, which means I beat my personal best!! Using my AAS410K .177 Fred who came along to his first ever HFT course, and his first time back using air rifles! For some years and Using his AAS410K .22 Got a respectable score of 42, well done Fred! Hunter1989 had a score of 32 his first time too, using his AAS410K .22 rossi_i had a respectable 42 for a first time at HFT ,using AAS410 Classic .177 Andy&Archie also had a good score of 37 using AAS410K Superlight .177 Rekowski had a score of 19 with his Daystate Huntsman Classic .22, but will fill to his sweet point next time lol Lighthunter also beat his personal best with a score of 43 using his AAS410K .177 Every one had a good crack and enjoyed the well laid out course which I must say is improving every time we go there! After the HFT it was over to Devizes to Andy’s for some darts Air rifle style, so the pressure was on. As Andy had kindly costumed 2 of his many trophies for a first and second place. We had a board out at 30yds which we placed an A4 size sheet of paper with a dart board printed on it. And a 10mm bell target out at 26/27yds. The objectives here was pull names from a hat and compete in groups of 2, and a straight knock out, the first one to go around the board starting at 1 and ending on 20 then the 10mm bell target to win the round! Here is some footage! Rossi_i had to go first, with us both getting of to a flying start, and a few miss’s later and the pressure was on both of us, with me reaching the bell first. But rossi_I putting the pressure on all the time, nice shooting Steve!! Next up was I think chaz & Alex and chaz racing ahead, with Alex getting of to a good start, but could not catch chaz. As he went on and hit the bell! Nice shooting chaz Then the Hunter up against Andy who both got of to good starts! But the Air Arms were on fire today with hunter reaching the bell before Andy. Nice shooting Steve So because of numbers attending we had a three way shoot off!! All using Air Arms Lighthunter, Hunter1989, Davyt63. In the shoot off, well chaz got of to a flying start! By the time Steve & I was on 3 he was well a head!! Reaching the bell before Steve and I. but the pressure was on as Steve and I was closing! Suddenly we were all on the bell. And you feel the tension in the room! With us all thinking when the opposition was taking a shot on the bell, in our heads “Miss! Miss!, Miss!.†LOL And we all had a few shots at the bell with me reaching it first! Hunter 2nd, chaz 3rd. 1st place trophie But what a shoot off! It was fantastic!!! Would just like to add thanks to Adele for keeping us in tea & grub THANK YOU!!! And thanks to Andy for the trophies and the host!! And also to all the lads who came today, what a good group of marksmen you all are! Regards Davy 1 Quote Link to post

rossi_j 99
Hey Phantom It Was A Realy Great Day, Im sure a few of us wouldent mind poping up to see you when that THL marksman of the year trohy is up for grabs next year :11: Perhaps We Could split the difference and find a HFT cousrse somewhere in the middle and meet up for a freindly shoot? .atb. .ste. 1 Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
I believe that will be up for grabs in July 2011 Somewhere around Swindon I believe The only thing about it, is I'm gonna under pressure to keep it I don't like pressure thats why I was so suprised at the outcome Reckon it'll go to either Si (cuz he'll be using his R-10 probably or his Ultra)or Mark (using his Hw100) next year. Unless Laura keeps her eye in and pinches si's R-10. I don't hold out much hope of retaining it as there are far better Marksmen than I out there Phantom Quote Link to post
