matt241075 12
Hi all I arranged with a friend "Jimmy" last night to go ferreting, we met this morning around 8.30 and got straight to it. The start was slow, we done 3 sets with not even a bolt however there were plenty of signs of activity around the sets prints, pee and droppings. However eventually drop on a few. The weather kept on our side with a bit of snow at the end which I do love when ferreting..... We ended up with 12, a few digs and a couple for the dog with 1 or 2 hitting the long net all in all a great day out!!!!!!! matt Quote Link to post

rapidjenky 97
still got him mate but he is very nervous and to be honest he isnt the slightest bit interested in anything to do with rabbits or chasing stuff so we will have to see. he may end up being left as a pet rather then a working dog. ive got a wanted advert up looking for a decent dog to do the job i want. if you hear of anything let me know mate, something i can do abit of everything with. I think if you can crack his nervous temperament you will see a different dog.... Has anybody got any advice on a nervous dog? Matt Quote Link to post

caterpiller 10
Could of done with you and your Stinkers on Saturday Matt..... that little Wood i was on about was one continuous Set Three Lads were a NO SHOW.....had back problems, could'nt peel the mattress off it Longnetted the full perimeter of the Wood and used all the Stop Nets inside the Wood. We tried to Ferret it in stages as best we could but with just the 3 of us.... it was hard work..... would of been a doddle with a couple of more Lads and there ' Teams ' of Stinkers to keep the Rabbits on the move. We done well considering..... the poor Stinkers put some Miles in between them, i did'nt get off lightly either.... hurdled more Fences than a Grand National Winner either dealing with Rabbits in the Longnets or Rabbits in the Stop Nets..... it was hard work mate. Got a few more places like this to do over Christmas so i will give you a shout Quote Link to post
