TOMO: NZ recently had a change of law re ferrets, and yes there are ways around it, same as everything, but

it could be tricky rolling up at a DOC (Dept of Conservation)job with a box full of "Verboeten Invasive animals"

with which to take care of,... another species of same LOL.

All a bit silly really.

I'm not turning my back a running just because things aren't going so brilliantly at the moment. This is my country and my home.

Good for you young sir...........i only wish i had the faith and stickability to do the same,i have till now but i cant see it lasting......as ive realised, loyalty will only get you so far.....but its an admirable stance to take nonetheless :notworthy:

its not about running away ! its about moving to a better place with a better life thats fitting to each individual,

everyone wants somthing different me im after a bit more freedom and a better place for the kids in a more open society with a better climate ,dosent have to be always hot but not so WET .

And the biggie for me is somewhere if sold up the money would go alot further so could get a good property with land etc.

theres loads to think about education, health care, job prospects ,distance from uk

IM UNDESIDED .........

Its a fair point, must admit its not something i thought about while the kids were young or i was on the money chase....its only a bit later in life when theres no worries and nothing to keep me here that its seriously entered my thoughts, even so theres still so much id miss about England......and if im honest, like Attack Fell Terrier hinted at,id feel like im selling out on my own country, but there can be nothing worse than living with regrets....for me if i dont do it within the next 5 or 6 years i know i never will.

A long time ago I very nearly stayed perminantly in Key West, got a job on a charter boat and it was pretty much idilic but the dogs eventually brought me back. Sometimes I think what might have been (Capt Ron :whistling::D ) but I've no regrets.

My father-in-law has recently moved up from the Algarve to northern Portugal, were off there in May, from what I've heard it sounds 'right', plenty of 'black pork', maybe one for the future?? ;)

I came to England from California near LA and I'll never look back. When it was nice and sunny you couldn't see across the street from the smog. Eerytime I would come back home on a plane someone would say there must be a big fire. The first few times I tried to explain to them it's the air they will soon be breathing but they never believed me. I can breath now and my kids don't have asthma.

It's no wonder this place is on its knees with attitudes like that. The population in Great Britain is around 60 million, I'm lead to believe that 1 to 2 million people in this country are Muslim. I wouldn't be surprised to see Muslims push for a separate state within the UK for themselves when their numbers grow over the years, but there's no way they're going to take over. Especially with in 10 years.

And besides, if that was the case, we need people like you to stay and fight against their aggressive growth. This country is changing so much and will continue to do so for the worst when our own people are just giving up and running away when we should be trying to get the place in order.

That's fair comment, You would be moving for the right reasons, but people saying they're leaving because Paki this and Black that are running away rather than fighting for what is theirs.
