nelson 0
Just come off the B & F web site myself and thinking of upgrading. http://www.bellmanandflint.co.uk/(S(zh5m1g...))/default.aspx Now call me a tight b'tard but it don't half seem a lot of money  I'm tempted to ask if they do catalogue terms  Out last week with me mates and the B & F kit came up in conversation, think i'll wait 'til they have a sale though Matulokh (or however you spell it) put something interesting about a cheasper version the other week. Guest ash
I'm considering the 40 ft version from Deben. It's got the range and is £120 cheaper, probably more if you shop around. Has anyone used this version? http://www.deben.com/ferretsandterriers/terrierfinder_lr.htm Quote Link to post
woolbr8stl 0
Although I haven't used it, I've heard good things about the LRT over the Mk3. The collar is made much better and waterproof this time. The only downside I've heard is the noise from the receiver, can be pretty annoying. I've seen the B&F and used it once. I'm still using the original Deben collars, when those fail me in a few years I'll probably try the LRT. I sure would like to hear anyones opinions on the two systems compared. (LRT vs B&F) I like the LRT collar better than the B&F. Although I've heard plenty of small dogs use the B&F with no problems at all in the ground. All my dogs are 12" or under. I'll say this B & f because your dogs life is worth it. As for using it on small dogs no problem. Edited January 4, 2007 by ROZ Quote Link to post

nelson 0
I use the Mk 1 stuff and have done for years, i know it aint perfect and that there is far better on the market but , and it is a but, the stuff is expensive. I dont buy all this insurance salesman stuff about, if you value your dog etc, etc, blah, blah, drone Your B& F gear aint no protective shield, first aid kit and the mole out of Thunderbird 2 all in one. Yes it is chuffing good stuff, takes a lot of guesswork out of pretty much all situations which is great :thumbs-up: However, it is still too expensive in my estimation , remember those LED watches in the 1970's, well they were as cheap as chips by 1979 (so me dad tells me ). Like i said earlier, i think i'll wait for the sales Quote Link to post
wiggy 0
I used the Deben mk 1 but i have now bought i B&F and it is a good bit of kit. it is really good in big earths where you can see where your dog is going, instead of running around for ages tryin to find it! The collars are big but i havent seen them affect any of mine or my mates dogs. My view out of the deben stuff is that the mk 1 is the best though. Quote Link to post
