shotgun 0
My dog had a hard time last winter going out in the snow. He ended up with hard packed snow and ice in beetween his pads and toes, stopping often, holding his paw up to be cleared. I took him out today in the first snow of this winter only for the same problems again. I ended up carying him for a while which is unusual for him to let me. The wife was looking for some sort of boot to put on him to stop the snow build up when she came across Musher's Choice. Some kind of cream. Has anyone used this and is it any good or is there another way apart from dog boots to help the situation. Quote Link to post
LDR 29
I'm no expert on it at all, but if its just the toes i'd trim them back, i've seen spaniels covered with balls of ice on their lower body, usually it seems to be with more feather, i'm not suggesting a full clip, but maybe taking the feather off your dogs feet may help. Spot on I have to trim the fur on all my cockers feet or they catch every burr/grass seed or end up as huge snowballs when it snows. Quote Link to post
