SOUND MODERATOR

Looking to get a sound mod for my .223, any one used the PES large can mod ( or MAE )

seen it advertised on JMS site, wondered if anyone used one?,are they any good

My mate uses a T8 and it is very good. Much better than the one he had on before, don't now the name of that one though sorry. But the T8 certanly does a good job on the .223. I have spoken to others on the shoot who say they use the same and are pleased with it.

Its very good, the only reason im selling is because after having a barrel changed it dosent fit.

I had a wildcat predator 8 moderator on my 22/250 which is basically the strippable version of the T8.

 

I recently changed to an a-tec cmm4 and I would really really recommend this moderator.

 

It only weighs 225g which is a third of the weight of a t8 type moderator and I dont even notice it on the end of the rifle, very well balanced.

 

I think it was around the £250 mark and is probably as loud as an unmoderated .22 rimfire at most.

Im actually just in the middle of trying to decide between a t12 and an ase utra northstar both seem very close sound and weight wise the only thing swaying me just now is when I was watching 2 of the guys I was stalking with yesterday taking the t12's off there rifles the mods were unscrewing as well ,not sure if this would cause a problem or just be an inconveince .

Probably because after stripping they didnt srew it up tight enough.

I use PES on my 243 and its good i cant fault it. its all down to personal preference i think.

quality moderator. ive got a REM VSSF in 22-250 with a pes on the end. cant fault it
