I would agree,, apart from the frost,, a light frost on surface grass fair enough but when its a deeep frost with solid ground beneeth the surface then it aint worth it. Just smash there feet up.

 

 

I'm not saying run a dog in dangerous conditions, but I go out on full moon, windless nights ! Of course you don't get the bags, but at least you're out ! And the dogs are getting a run, rather than lying in their kennels ! To many people make excuses NOT to go out !

No, I'm not out tonight; I've been out today. My point was that if you wait for the perfect conditions, you'll never run you dogs ! If you want to have a pop at me, OK, but read the thread, and give a sensible answer or reply.

Maybe! But to put on here (just get out) u might aswel go chasing rabbits on a glass filled car park. By no accounts am I tellin you when to lamp your dogs but me personally know when to leave then in the pen. You obviously don't.. All the best hope alls well...

When weathers like this my dogs get early mornin walk no point in lampin you just educate the quarry even more. Especially where you are charty the game by you is more than educated an it's no surprise with this attitude... All the best..

i go out every chance i get good cond bad cond just to get out but i dont take the chance on hard frosty ground its not worth having the dog laid up

I think you should re read you own post,, the one that implys that the guy is somhow the odd one out for thinking twice about running a dog in this weather,, you implied to get out with the dog and you know you did, funny now youre in reverse lol.

SH, yeah, all's well, couldn't be better in fact ! I know when to run my dogs, their injury record will probably back that up. As I said to the other guy...If you wait for the perfect nigt, you'll never run your dog ! You obviously have a problem with me over the lamping comp, but I thought that was sorted ? Never mind, there's more important things in my life !

I don't think everyone wants the perfect night but if its too hard then its too hard and the moonlight and no wind just adds up to a poor night and if you cut the dogs feet up you can be sure while you can't run it the weather will turn into better conditions

Tomo; don't jump on the bandwagon, mate ! My point was to many people make excuses NOT to go out ! Of course if the conditions are to bad you don't go ! But we've ALL went out in less than perfect conditions.

yes ,,, like i said running the full moon is one thing , or when there's no wind,,, of course give it a go...... all you do is make it harder................. but running on real hard frosted ground is plain stupid ..

as i said my dog was run on snow and ice and hard frost last year and never had a problem at all all it did was made his feet harder
