depends how hard the ground is and if theres no wind theres no point

IMO the ground is far too hard to be running the dogs on and far too still and crispy to get close to anything worth running.

But do you honestly think your ready for a dog on loan if you cant tell if the grounds to hard to run or not...? It really anit that hard of a thing to do

thats your own choice when its your dog that might get injured but different story when the dog is only on loan to him
