tinklefod1 21
sometimes i rekon they shake because of the adrenalin, if you grab your coat and tell your dog your going for a walk then my 2 shake, if they see a cat, squirell, rabbit dog, plastic bag blowing down the road they go into alert mode and start to shake, maybe its just like a muscle spasm?? i think as well as shit thin coats (like others have typed)and what i just typed is probably not far short of why they shake?? hth Quote Link to post
Casso 1,261
there is probably a really easy answer to this but why do whippets and whippet crosses shiver even though there not cold? its something go to do with potential energy in their system that cant be expressed at that moment,, eg a car when its turned on but in neutral , vibrates through the energy in the motor,, 1 Quote Link to post

ReggieCuz 18
I once had a high energy staffie who shook and shivered a lot, no matter what the weather hot or cold. You could look at her body language and see her tail was up and she was confident etc, so it had f**k all to do with fear or nerves. She was confident around strangers, kids, livestock etc. My vet had no idea what was wrong either, he just said something along the lines of ''Mate, some dogs just shiver'' Quote Link to post
