She looks a very nice GSD, my sort of type, looks very big boned, What lines is she? As far as breeding lurchers, I do agree that Simomans dog does look abit more suitable, but you should give it ago if thats what you want. Simoman, do you do any work with yours? (Schutzhund, personal protection etc?) Edited January 3, 2007 by Hob&Jill Quote Link to post
Guest world.hunters
we dont know anythink about her past she was given to use from a family member who got her from a farm. the bloke on there used to beat her to try and make her nasty but it had the reverse effect on her. the wanker was going to put a bullet in her head so thats how we got her. she was a very very timid dog at first, if anyone walked into the room she would crouch down onto the floor and look away.... after a good few years she is now a good dog and very protective over me. im going to try and get her fit and then get some pics up in the future cheers Quote Link to post

(Schutzhund, personal protection etc?) I have the sire to the dog in the photo, hes from Belgian schutzhund imports, I qualified him in Working Trials but retired him after he damaged his cruciate ligament and I didn't want to keep putting him over 6ft jumps and 9ft long jumps. He is a very hard dog and has sired several working dogs, police, security and working trials. I kept back a pup to work for trials but got back into hunting so he has the odd trip out. Training for me used to be almost every night and with a young family I don't have the time and would rather go out with a dog or gun. she is Very very unfit mate.hasnt been out for a while as im always working and now one else walks her. the lazy feckers she had a few rabbit her self when she was fitter. me and rew used to take her and his lurcher out aswell just mooching and she once chased a hare with his dog both dogs turning it (if it ran straight she would have no chance lol) and she pulled its tail of lol then both dogs grabbed it................ all befor the ban ofcourse do u think she would be ok for breeding 3/4 greys 1/4 alsastion from cheers I think a 3/4 cross sounds like an interesting mix. Its funny but my dog has a thing for hares. If you are going to breed you should get her hip scored Quote Link to post
chartpolski 24,662
Not having a go, world.hunter, but she could do with a good brushing/combing out, looking at those photo's. Cheers. Quote Link to post
collie/grey 238
Get her fit and then put pics up, she looks a bit heavy atm, nice looking gsd though. Have her hips scored though, you don't want hip dysplasia in a lurcher. Not sure if shepherds need their elbows scored? Quote Link to post
Guest world.hunters
i know she could do with a good brush mate but i wasnt going to take her out then this morning i just decided before i went ill take her lol she dont have to look smart to hunt up lolololol but i know what u meen mate cheers Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Not sure if shepherds need their elbows scored? Most just do the hips, I also tested my stud for Haemophilia before breeding. Quote Link to post
Gareth12 225
Both nice dogs, anyone heard of any belgian mals being used in lurcher breeding seem like an ideal cross from what ive seen Quote Link to post
heart of wales 19
Nice Type bitch WH you need what needs to be done before you even contemplate breeding her first of all get her fit,Then get her hips checked, unfortunately you do not know her parents I go back as far as I can before contemplating breeding. It is great to see good working shephards not sloping back orange coloured skinny boned show champions if you looking for hip displacia start there. Just weighed our pups and they are coming in at two kilos at Two weeks Two are booked already with a possible third. Quote Link to post
