Guest world.hunters
Went out today and decided to take my dog with me and of course the digi cam on the first field there was a phesent down the other side. i lifter my bird up high to give her a better look and as soon as she saw it she was off she went wide as it was running then she dived but it had just made the hedge row she dived in straight after it and it cam flyin out..... we moved on and i decided to do a little more soaring heres a short clip but the best soaring was when i put her on top of the hill and ran to the bottom i then got the lure out for a few seconds and the hid it... she floated up high above me then came back down to about 6foot above me waiting for the lure to re-appear, i then shouted out to her and rose my arm and chucked out the lure, im hopeing that she will remeber the signal after a few times and link that with prey giving me a visual and sound signal to make her focus in my genral area when i spot the quarry from where i am, thats if she dont spot it before me. i then walked through the woodland with dog and bird off free the dog was working the bushes nicely and the bird had just landed in a branch not far from behind her... the dog then flushed a hare and they both took off after it out of sight i ran in the same direction but they had no luck. the wood is still thick on the ground and there is so many places it can make a easy escape. i then had a look on some fields but to no luck, so i decided to walk home after a good day, on the way home i did a bit more soaring and a kestrel tried to take my birds head off LOL she was on the ground and it swooped down twice right above her, it didnt seem to bother her that much tho. i was glad with the day and really enjoyed it and the fact that the dog and bird seem to be getting on and working togeather made it that bit better aswell. heres a few photos of the day Quote Link to post
