1/4 saluki 3/4 greyhound

does anyone know if this bread has much stamina and has anyone had experience of running them?

Alright mate. Welcome to the forum. As for the cross should have bags of stamina and a very capable cross. Obviously depending on the dogs make up. Worker to Worker is always better. Very good cross and will do any quarry on the land

i run salukixs but wouldnt get a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 saluki. would be fast but poor wind and poor feet imho not seen a good one that could take real stick..

how much would you say you need % in a x, to make a real differnce then.? i thought you would need atleast 3/8saluki. same as my pup bull x grey he is 3/8 bull, i think if you are going to put in (put it in) .?

depends on alot of things what you running and type of ground aswell each to there own i say if it keeps you happy thats the main thing

thats true good and bad in every x but a 3/4 bred is going to take most of its gene,s from the greyhound so you end up with poor feet and poor wind just my opinion. depends how much u want to be out and how hard you want to work your dog

put my salukighound dog to a ghound bitch mines feet not great but all othere i no of ok out the litter mine might have had bit harder running but wind wise ok or the ground she been ran on not the best :thumbs:some dog your lucky with others your not

what about coursing bred dog to a greyhound bitch ? as you have a mix then , always wonderd what a well bred coursing dog to a small type greyhound bitch would bring . i dont think 3/4 grey 1/4 saluki would bring much but still intresting to see , 1st crosses seem popular , so why not use a coursing bred dog over a grey instead of a pure . atleast the coursing stuff as been tested .

I had one many years ago excellent rabbit dog on lamp maybe 1 out of 3 hares day time decent stamina no good for fenns etc

but i was very happy with the cross, The land we run are not so big so neva eva going to get over a 2 min course

i had one last year had her from a pup got rid of her at 18 month old this year because i didnt think she had the stamina to go out and catch a big bag of bunnies thats what i mainly do,she was fast nimble and had a good strike her feet were very good ran on all kind of ground and never a problem she had a go at every quarry and she caught day and night.she would rach woods out in the day.the lad who got her was very happy with her catching a lot of daytime stuff.heres a few pics of her
