RAMCAM 4
Alright folks, just a quick one for you all to mull over, i am not getting on with my pcp (bsa superten) and am thinking of selling up but what springer would you recommend in .22 for around the £350-£400 range i have in the past used a tx 200 hc and found that a great gun whats your views, cheers in advance. Hi The TX200 is a superb rifle, but if it was down to me I would have to go with the HW97K MK2 Thumbhole with adjustable butt pad. Quote Link to post
hullhunter 219
i was the same mate i had a s16, and an rws simmitor and just did not like them so i went back to my tx200. Quote Link to post
jordy123 0
Nothing wrong with the super 10 in fact it's A1 but just can't get on with it not sure why just don't get the thrill you should do when I take it out Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
I know how you feel, mate. I got my first PCP a year or so back and while I was very impressed with it to start with, it just left me cold after a while and I started useing my old HW90 again. I sold the 410c a while back but I'll not part with the 90. Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
I love both my TX200s and HW80s and would recommend them in a heartbeat. But if I was right-handed, it would be an Air Arms Pro Sport in both flavours. Absolutely beautiful rifle and the best for your allowed budget. After that, look at the TX200, Weihrauch 97k/97KT, HW95, Weihrauch HW80, HW90, HW77. All of which are magnificent. Can't recommend a BSA spring rifle, they are built to a budget and the quality is not so great as "adequate". Pianoman Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
a pal has a pro sport and its an excellent rifle, very accurate but some might find it a little weighty, and personally i'm finding that a hw95 is doing everything right for me, lovely weight, nice balance(with the right scope) and the trigger, once adjusted to suit, is superb. less than £300 too!!! all the best, wurz Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
tx straight from the box is better then the hw97 unless you tune it. my all time favourite would be the airarms pro elite, if you could find one Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
I'd agree about the Pro Elite. It was a nice rifle but, it was an FAC only job. And not as good as the .177 FAC TX200HC. That's what I went for and cannot rate it highly enough. Hits a penny size group at 45 metres. But our friend here makes no note of having the ticket, so, it's a no-no it seems. longdog runner 5
AA Prosport everytime, best springer about, i not a fan of pcp either, tried a few including the bsa s10 and the aa s410, have had quite a few springers inc weirachs and a tx200 but nothing is near it in my eyes Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
my pro elite was bog standard off ticket job, they were better at 22ftlbs but they could be tuned nicely at 12 Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Hi Big Bald Beautiful. Really? All the Pro Elites I came upon were all FAC-only. But I often thought they would make a lovely sub 12ft/lb rifle. Do you still have it? Quote Link to post
