jill

Recommended Posts

just a quick queastion. I have a few rat live traps around my aviary in the garden and when i checked it i had caught a ferret. The jill was really under weight so i have housed her on here own and feeding her plenty to build her up. I have a jill polecat and was wondering if it would be possible to put these together. What you lads recommend? Thanks ferret_uk

I think it would be best to keep them seperate at first just incase she has any illness that could spread. After a clean bill of health I don't see why they can't be together. Of course you would watch them together just to see how they get along. I prefer to put mine together in an environmet that is not their own when they first meet. Good catch there, hope all works out well.

I have checked the jill and cannot see any visible problems. She will be sprayed tomorrow and i will introduce the bitches and hopefully they wont fight. Am also wondering what you guys think about putting a harness on the jills during the day and tether them in the garden as i hate them been stuck in there cages and my new court is not built yet as i moved houses thanks

Not very safe, they could get tangled in the lead or chew through it. There are cheap puppy cages on ebay you could put a large piece of wood and tarp on top of it just for a temporary solution until your done building the court.
