I will bear it in mind and thanks so much thats really generous of you.Hes saying theyre stand offish but from what i seen they command their space when you first come in.To be honest its a mastiff trait but have to say i wouldnt be too sure of giving them out to someone with kids just in case anything happened i wouldnt like to think of the result if it went wrong.

its simple, take them back to the breeder.....a responsible breeder will always take back anything they ahve bred nomatter what the circumstances, and in most cases there will be a contract saying that they MUST go back if such a situaton arises as this. A responsible caring breeder is responsible for anything they breed if it needs to be rehomed. Simple moral ethics of breeding.

Aye sell somebody a pup that is perfectly healthy and once the new owner has had it for 13 months and turned it into a problem, you have the responsibility to take it back

and sort it out, somehow I don,t think so, :wallbash:

er yes....its called being responsible....you brought them into the world, you take responsibility....its what we responsible folk do....not wash our hands of the problem :censored:

For one the breeder is no longer available as far as we know tried to contact them using details we have but no joy.Two i aint giving a dog back to them anyway if they didnt breed dogs all the time and sell them to anyone we wouldnt be here now.The guy is in a bad situation clearly not his fault his wife buggered off house repossessed and hes struggling anyway as he works 60 hours a week and its really not fair on them.Hes now out of the house and dogs are at his mates with him and have to be contained cos of the other dog his mate owns presa x staffy i think and its deffo not friendly. The dogs are not a big problem to be honest males a great lad and bitch is to me anyway a bossy bitch a bit too dominant and needs to be shown shes not the boss only with dogs though not people.I didnt speak to him much my dad spoke ti him more than i did cos i was too busy with the dogs lol. They have never lived with kids theyre not keen on strangers im told and guy said he wouldnt be too sure about kids tbh as theyre big dogs and if they did go they would really do damage as i havent had them here personally i cant comment on that he may just be cautious. His words theyre ideal gaurd dogs.Im only trying to help them as i do feel theyre young and its not fair they get pts for doing nothing wrong I feel for them but i am past bursting here and no where else i can put them

contact the breed rescue then??

Aye you responsible folk breed dugs and just sell them to folk with no clue, then when it,s fifteen months old and is an aggressive liability they bring it back to you,and in the meantime it attacks a bairn, pts and be done with it,not worth the risk,

The right handler and someone who has a clue what theyre doing could handle these dogs i was handling them and playing around with them after 10 minutes of going into chaps house.Sadly Roxy this is the most likely outcome no one wants to take them on so probs will be pts or given to a complete novice as per then when someone makes a mistake the dogs will be to blame as usual. In my eyes theres no such thing as responsible breeding nowadays even if you take the dog back theres dogs every where getting pts cos theres no homes for them to go to and folks breed more for no good reason. Its differant if you want a pup for working or whatever but theres way to many people lining their pockets with fancy x breeds and pedigrees with so many health issues and genetic problems so taking a dog back does not make it any better in my opinion. The person who bred the dogs is non contactable ive been trying since wednesday last week but the dogs have to go and to be honest id rather pts than give them to someone who wont look after them or allow them to injure a child or person

Spot on, and proof that it's a load of bollocks when people sell working dogs at a high price with the ' price will guarantee a good home' excuse..

Have to agree on that mate I have given dogs to people other rescues wouldnt and been confident of their care towards the animal and know people who are alcoholics and their dogs better fed than they are yet people say they should have it taken off them.I feel really crap for these dogs as i can clearly see theyre not a big problem YET.No breed rescues want them was told by one rescue they will take it if we pay for them to be spayed and neutered and microchipped but we simply cannot afford to do that we have no space and the vet bills are sky high at the moment so no hope there. If i could i would but i got loads in and another new lurcher of my own who probably wouldnt be too happy or willing to share his domain he can be a little funny with other dogs especially males. The guys heartbroken and only parting cos he cannot keep them financially and hes got no where to live at the moment so not ideal.I am buggered though if theyre to fall into the wrong hands i feel horrible even thinking about pts but better that i think than some ned ending up with them and them getting killed in the end anyway
