DottyDoo 500
iv had a jill eat a tiny hob, tho it was years ago, an i was only a lad, an blamed meself, took the jill back to the breeder, an he said yeah lad, her mother an grandmother were same needless to say it got left at his yard there an then....... have also had a pair a jills(litter sisters) gang up on a hob ferret, an make his life hell, again i rehomed the jills.... had a young jill, just out the nest take a serious dislike to an elderly jill i had aswell, she had a cataract in 1 eye, an was literally half the size of the younger jill, tho the little fecker was evil towards the old un, an perfect with all other ferrets in the communal run.... ferrets are like every living thing, they all diffrent....... as for them being canabals ffs, i have seen a few jills droip kitts in the same cage as barren jills an unrelated hobs, an they all seem to live amicablly suppose its just like us, we mix well with some, an dislike others Quote Link to post

proper22 5
Maybe he didnt kill, she could have died of natural causes eg heart attack( i know it sounds extremly rare but you never know), then he may have came along feeling in the mood for a bit of fresh meat and eaten her chest.... and if that is the case then you cant really blame him..... kevin from bristol 95
it could be a number of things that mate, i dout you will ever know .i have a jill i have to keep on her own as she kills all others i put in with her even the biggest of hobs she either kills them as soon as shes comes into contact or shes fine and i think finally there ok then the next morning dead she never eats them though just kills em so i give up trying and just leave her on her own normally i would take this as a defective ferret and knock it but she the best worker ive got only problem is she has to be worked alone i wont be breeding her as i think she loose in the head .
