watchman 256
well as we all know when things are going wrong for us what with one thing and another it can get a bit demoralising picking yourself up and brushing yourself down again and again, the thing is if its for the love of the game we are in then no matter what..........."you just got to keep at it" as for this season iv already had my fair share of bad luck, enough to last me for a while anyway, what with having my young bitch stolen early October then having my bullx jack on me a few weeks ago i did start to think is it all worth it,never had a dog to run and walking around with my head up my arse wondering what to do next and spending to much time on here mixing with the other keyboard hunters so got myself a pup off penda on here, she now about 3 months and really is a little cracker, got her indoors at the moment until iv upgraded security around the place slightly, don't want any repeat performances on that score and she has settled in well, bit to much as part of the family for my liking but should get her in the kennels early next year so that will put a stop to that hopefully, the missus will have to find something else to cuddle up on the settee with lol. anyway without a dog to carry on with this season i searched around a bit like you do and now have another bullx, she about 2 1/2 and although only had her a week she really is a joy to own, well so far so good anyway ,grubs up well and i don't hear a peep out of her and doesnt seem to mind mixing it with the pup,put it this way she hasnt ragged the little f****r YET lol,she over me like a rash if you didn't know any better you would think id had her from a pup lol,im just getting her a bit fitter and what with the shite weather anyway should be able to get her out in a week or two and see how she performs so hopefully things are looking up again but time will tell. so i suppose at the end of the day just when your thinking things cant get any worse sometimes you really do have to just pull your finger out and get on with it so heres hoping il have a good end to this season and im already looking forward to the next, get the pup up and running and do what we all love to do....."keep at it" just a couple of pics from this mornings stroll, nothing to get exited about yes the rabbit definitely went down this hole Quote Link to post

undisputed 1,664
As catcher has said think we've all been there at one time or another mate and it can be soul destroying when you lose a dog especially one you devote a lot of time and energy too. Seen guys lose dogs in freak accidents and have to start from scratch and been there myself. The important thing is to maintain your desire to keep going but its the nature of the beast when you work dogs sooner or later smoething happens to set you back. Hope it works out with the new dogs ,,,keep at it Quote Link to post
