robo-christ 40
and if there is,is it just a matter of time until they get that way? posting because although i'd never ever support any animal charity i heard the dogs trust was a decent one,but on a post earlier apparently they too condemned that john lewis advert for having a dog outside. craigyboy 1,274
the pdsa seemed ok to me,they sorted my lurchers broken leg,and when i told em that i worked her,the vet seemed genuinely interested so much so he asked me for a couple of dressed rabbits when shes back at it again,to which i duly obliged Edited November 20, 2010 by craigyboy

Aye, the RSPCA are sound, think we should all subscribe for their humane way of disposing of healthy dogs...  Don't forget the power of Google and the Guests it brings to this site. If you are a guest and think the RSPCA are a worthy cause I suggest you do a little research, murdering b*****ds.

Yes there is, I work some ground for an animal sanctury where a lot of horses are rehomed and the ground has a rabbit problem, the lady that runs the charity loves all animals but lives in the real world....she's a star
olim 28
local animal shelters seem to be ok, real animal lovers should donate to them, they are the ones who need it unlike the rspca who just want money to line their own pockets and are c*nts
Ideation 8,216
Aye puts it in perspective when some wee local shelter run by a couple of folk 'never puts down a healthy animal', whereas the RSPCA drops then right, left and centre.
boyo 1,398
most of the greyhound rescue centres are great and a real help and a lot of them are run on charity and need all the help they can get
MuttleMcTuttle 21
Yes, there are many animal rescues that are very good - usually the smaller ones. Border Collie rescue also condemned the John Lewis ad because it shows the dog in totally unsuitable accomodation - the kennel appears to be too small, dilapidated and in a very exposed position. BC rescue, along with many other charities, are happy for you to have a dog that lives outdoors if you provide it with a suitable kennel or living quarters. As with most charities, human and animal, the big organisations spend most of their donations on salaries, advertising, and office buildings... When I feel the need to be benevolent there is a collecting bin for the local dog's home in the supermarket, and I drop a bag or two of dog-food in. That way I know my money will go where it's needed, and not to fund some fat-cat director's new range rover...
