Whippet pups - Midlands Area ?

Hi all

I have been looking into geting a whippet pup for some time.

Just wondering if anyone could help ? Where to start looking for a good pup prefrebly from a working line around the midlands area?

What time of year do breeders usually sell pups ? And Would a bitch be the best ?

I have lots of mates with working dogs a few of wich or whippets and have been out with them and they have told me a alot but just asking for your opinions and maby some help into were too start looking ??

Would love a "blue" whippet but obvs cannot be too picky ??

i see regular whippet litters advertised on gumtree in my area, it might be worth a search on your local gumtree adverts.

Hi John go on the working whippet forum they should be able to give you any advice and questions you might have about working whippets also let you know if there are any litters about at the present or future litters planned. Hope you enjoy your Whippet mate great little dogs.

Fair enough you can't be 'too picky', but you can see a litter of pups and predict to some degree how they will look later in life.

on Poachers Rest and Working Whippet Rolysmate has a black bitch still not sold they are ready next week he is in derbyshire, and I have a blue fawn bitch ready 9/12/10 and am an hour further down the road (40 mins from peterborough)

his litter as is mine are sired by my dog both sets of parents are working dogs
