Phantom 631
I got mine for about a tenner including p&p Needed a little work doing and I've not yet had the chance to fire it at anything other than a pile of soil in the garden, once I'd stripped all the crap off the stock and then put a few layers of stain on it, it looks nice. Oh perhaps mine will be better quality that they send to britain as mine has a WestLake stamp rather than SMK Phantom Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,587
Andy, do you sell those long-looking SMK underlevers? Looks a bit like an HW77. I quite fancy one to have a bit of a tweak and fiddle with. See if it can be made better? It looks quite good, if you know the one I mean?! Quote Link to post

The Underlevers can be sweetened out no end Shot one a year or so back in Coventry at a UBC meet. It was fitted with one of those Tasco scopes. Was very nice and knocked over a metal bunny at 40 yards on the HFT lane. It was actually easier to shoot than my beautifull beast (XS19) Phantom Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Cheers Phantom. That's another testimony that there's a little bit of treasure to be found with this rifle here, under the cheapy cheerful image.... Simon Quote Link to post

It was actually easier to shoot than my beautifull beast (XS19) Phantom The XS36-1 (Carbine) & XS36-2 Are good underlevers and quite powerful and very good value for money. As is the XS38, but the trigger is a bit iffy and the gun is heavy. The XS19 is a good bit of kit and can be sweetened to a much better rifle for very little money & effort. Basically today all the SMK range have an excellent following and there are tuning kits galore for them. For just one such kit maker see: http://www.woodfield-gcp.co.uk/springtuning.htm This is what he did to a DB4 http://ukchineseairgunforum.myfreeforum.org/about7422.html People are using the B2 to hunt with, although I personally believe it is more a plinker.
