out today with the r10 and stealth 410

hi ya folks

well where i work these is a couple of small holdinds that are dotted around so on my way home i thought i would pop into one of the small holdings to see if there was any pest control they needed

so i was waiting for them to answer the door and thinking to myself NO NO NO NO is there first answer ?

to my suprise the man of the house said it was about time someone knocked his door and asked he has been waiting for someone for over a year ? so i said why is that then ? he answered with well i have loads of rabbits & squirrels in the summer and now they have realesed a loads of pheasants not far from him and they all seem to be on my land came you do something about it he has spoken to the other farmer and told him if anything is on his land that shouldnt be he will have it shot and i said yes yes buddy i can deal with that so he asked me to start there and then and as i had all my stuff in the car i agreed

so i had a quick walk around to see what the boundries were and where and settled myself in just by a few trees hoping to see a rabbit or 2 but none at all i aint shot a rabbit in ages so i was really hoping to see a few which i did but way to far out for me to be happy to take a shot so i left them alone and carried on then i saw a couple of squizzers running around so i steadied the r10 to the shoulder and dam i couldn't get the head shot so i tried to get a little closer but then he stopped and looked around at me hummmm so i took my LRF out and lased him in at 34mtrs no head shot but as i trust my r10 i knew i could take a good heart shot and so i did the squizzer dropped straight away dead as you can see from the picture

then as i was going to walk to pick him up something moved to the right of him below the hedge line so i scope the scope on the hedge to see what was moving around and wow a cracking pheasant popped his head up to see what was going on so i dropped the bipod down and took a nice prone shot as we all know these pheasants dont stay still for long and i wanted a good clean shot which i got fantastic shot to still at the 34 to 35mtrs but still i knew that the r10 and me could do it so being happy with that i took a walk back to the car when i spotted another squizzer and yes the r10 was back in her bag wrapped up nice and warm bugger but my stealth 410 shottie was out still so i got and little closer to the squizzer half way up the tree so i got a good head shot on him and took the shot well the 2 pictures will show you what a 410 shottie will do at around 10 or 12mtrs the picture is graphic i know but these stealth 410's really do a good job and very easy to use every pest controller should have one they are great and dont upset the cattle or horses either which is also very good

yeah your right buddy cracking gun matey

i never thought i would get as i had loads of people emailing me about how bad they were and everything else about them but this one had been tried and tested by a friend on here and i went for it and wow matey what a gun and as you might know with my posts on here i have had most gun lol but this one is cracking

and with the stealth 410 shottie as well another top gun very happy with that too so yeah i am really happy i got the r10 plus i got me a new twink mk2 on her now and what a difference there is i am out shooting in the morning so i will have a good write up about that too

Nice work on the squizzers and fezzer Shay.

 

Seems that you are loving the r10 buddy.

 

Give it another 6 months to a year and I think more people will be getting them pal.

 

I was speaking to Tench yesterday on the phone and he is going to Tench tune my r10 for me.

 

£100 for the following:

 

Cut the barrel down to level with the end of the buddy bottle.

 

Thread the barrel for a silencer.

 

Remove the shroud completely to make lighter.

 

Enhance and tune the regulator to be more accurate and aid accuracy.

 

Tune the cocking bolt, hammer and trigger.

 

Renew all seals and service the rifle.

 

Turn up the power with RWS Super Fields to 11.8 ft/lbs now the rifle is properly bedded in.

hi shay, nice shooting as ever buddy, i was surprised how little damage the 410 did tho, i thought you would have ruined the eating on it with a shottie!! well done on getting the new ground mate, looking forwards to many write ups from you mate

 

@ si, your r10's gonna be great buddy, tench did a number on my old un andit was great, i really enjoyed shooting it(and kinda miss it now) but the darkside just seduced me...

thank you lads for all the nice comments i am really enjoying the r10 and shottie and si pal i think i might do the same pal i will have a word with tench and see what he says buddy

as i want to get me a good camcoder first so goto save me pennies up for one of them then i will ask tench to get the gun sorted out for me but at the minutes she is spot on as you can see 34mtrs heart shot and dead in seconds i cant complain though

thank you very much buddy and well a dead squizzer is a good squizzer lol even though he was sleeping lol he did make me smile though he sat straight up and didnt move at all thinking i couldnt see him lol he was wrong the r10 found him for sure lol
