Acuspell 329
Very nice looking rifle - looks JUST like a Rapid now! You can see where Daystate copied the idea for their buddy bottle rifles from. Theoben Rapid, the original (and best - and I use a Daystate too! And a Rapid. . My Rapid is 1987 and they had been about a year or two by then already.) Edited March 10, 2012 by Acuspell Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
Funny enough , i was told by somebody earlier this week that the Rapid and Daystate are like cars . The Rapid being the Land Rover The Airwolf being the Range Rover . I know you use Theobens , and i almost bid for your S410 on AAOC , but what Daystate do you use Accuspell ? Acuspell 329
Couldn't see over the Wolf or Ranger, too fat for my front hand too (the old Rapid you have to hold the bottle because I am too mean to buy a decent stock!) My Daystate is the Huntsman classic. One of only 20 built using Theoben 12/20 Anshutz barrels - so an unshrouded 20 calibre. You'll see it in the hunting section. I'm not sure if I can post "hunting" pics in here, so you'll have to go trawling to see it! Nothing special, just a piece of wood with some tubes in it. Oh and the Land Rover/ Range Rover analogy, is about right. 25 years down the line and the Rapid still cuts the mustard. Range Rover is the young pretender. Robbie uk 24
Might be a daft question but if the barrel/shround is shortened so much wont it have an effect on the range ? Quote Link to post
Acuspell 329
Not at 12 lbs. The Fenman only uses an 8" barrel and gets ful power. Quote Link to post
andyz 30
The internal shroud baffles are removed and the Shroud shortend to the length of the barrel, the shroud is them Threaded again for the silencer adaptor to fit into like yours in the picture, they don't actually thread the barrel just internaly in the shroud. Jasp Hi Jasp, I had the same work as Base Jumper done on my MK4, and Adi did infact shorted the shroud past the barrel and then threaded the barrel. I think the idea was to get it as short as possible without shortening the barrel at all. Also threading the barrel directly reduces the risk of miss-alignment with the barrel when using adaptors etc. BTW two lovely rifles there. ATB, Andy Quote Link to post
