Also I had good groupings in my 97 with AA's, but when I tried lubing them the groups opened up a bit. Napiers are pre lubed maybe that particular barrel does not like lubed pellets. gurtwurz 792
hi paul, glad its not just me then!! although i put my crap groups(2" at 25m) down to not having shot a springer for yonks, as soon as i changed pellets all my troubles went away mate. well, that and getting up early for a couple of weeks and blatting through a lot of A4 paper. i changed from accupells to air arms field by way of H+N FTT'S(the '95 really didnt like them tho!!)and alls well now, although i havent really pushed the boat out range wise yet. let us know how you get on mate, all the best, wurz Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
I remember back in the mid 's I had an ASI Rangemaster that used to like Marksman pellets in .22 Did good paperwork at about 25 yards with that, then one day got a tin of Milbro cals as they were cheap and I didn't know any better at the time (bit more pricy than the Marksman though). My neighbour was well pissed off when they were tapping on her door instead of my target I could never get a group with them back then but still went through two tins trying. My mother was also pretty peeved with me when I hit the kitchen window with them Since I came back into shooting after years away my worst group so far was just under A4 paper size with my XS19 and Milbro Cals at about 10M (still got 4 tins left that came with the gun when I got it). A good clean of the barrel and then onto AAF's brough them down to almost pellet on pellet just like it should have been Phantom Quote Link to post
