Where is the cheapest place for the 4-12x50 Si? Quote Link to post
RAMCAM 4
i have one but sadly no AO or IR which is diffeclt when i gets dark mines a mill dot very useful but im saving up for one with AO and IR or a airmax Yes the IR and bell size makes alot of difference when it start to get dark. I've got the MTC viper 8-32x60 IR on my other rifle, but that's a bit too pricey for a goldstar. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Collie, You have the old model then and not the new new Hawke Sport HD 4-12*50 AO IR with mil dots. These have just gone up in Uttings from £57 to £81 luckily I got mine before the prices went up and from another shop. They are proper quality scopes. I also have a Airmax with the SR12 reticule on my BSA r10 and they are really good too. Why the new I.D anyway, how many you got now 3? Si Quote Link to post
RAMCAM 4
collie Ok Thanks Mate Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Ram, What I did was to do a Google search for the Hawke Sports HD 4-12*50 AO IR. The new ones have the Milford in them. If your lucky you will find a shop that has them in at the lower price still buddy. I'm sure mine came from some shop in Scotland. Si Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Ok Collie, That's very good of you buddy. Let's all get on and learn from one another. I forgive you bud and I'm sure Everyone else will too when they read your honest post. Si Edited November 17, 2010 by zini Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
The Hawkes optics and overall quality on this model is alot better than the Tasco Collie bud. Don't get me wrong bud the Tasco is good and recommended but the Hawke is just much better. Si Edited November 17, 2010 by zini Quote Link to post
Ricksomniac 3
I have got a tasco on my venom viper, its a 6-24 x 50. It's a good scope but I have just bought the hawke scope zini is referring to for my new S510 and honestly it is a cut above. A T B Rick. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
I agree Rick, same here buddy I have the new Hawke and have had the Tasco 6-24*50 AO IR. The tasco is a lovely scope and accounted for hundreds of head of vermin while I used it but the new Hawke is just amazing in comparison. Si Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Ok Collie, That's very good of you buddy. Let's all get on and learn from one another. I forgive you bud and I'm sure Everyone else will too when they read your honest post. Si Not me I'm afraid, Si. One harsh lesson life's taught me time and again is if someone's capable of behaving in a certain way once (in his case twice!!) then they are capable of doing it again and again.... Young or old. Sorry, Collie, you'll get no help from me... Quote Link to post
RAMCAM 4
boys im sorry i made a bad impressoin on this site but i aint realy a dickhead like a came across i do go out with the gun but im just starting this is my honest accout im going to be real sorry all i messed up on my last two but i will not speak no more shit sorry for wasteing you time i dont want to get kicked off this site because its some sound advice im sorry can we please forget it and ramcam i am also looking for a new scope for my dads old gun im looking at tascos do you if there any good because they are cheap enough and my mate has one they seem good quality Hi Collie No Worries Mate, a least you've learnt from your mistakes. The Tasco Varmint that I have on my 97k is the old model which is no longer in production 6-24x50 AO. It has very good optics and I have read on a american site shortly after purchasing it that it was originally built for a 50cal bullet rifle. I bought it for £50 off ebay 2 years ago second hand the guy said he originally paid £180. Quote Link to post
