Hi there,   As far as I can see the ban on coursing will never be lifted. If anything there will be even more restrictions on what can be hunted. Unfortunately over the past umpteen years the dog ga

I dont hunt with a dog, i shoot and fish, i have not the skills to work a dog effectivly, and not the time to train one. I think if the (legal) ban continues then in time, perhaps 10 years or so many

If the repeal goes through and the vote goes our way then yes coursing along with staghunting, foxhunting, beagling and minkhunting will return to exactly how it was before November 2004

they might make it harder than it is already by putting in to many rules .

They can't they have to completely scrap the act, there won't be any extra rules or exceptions it will be confined to the history books

I really don't see that the ban has made it any different for most, certainly round here anyway,it was alway's illegal to course where you did'nt have permission to be and that cover's most of the estate land in the northwest,it never stopped anyone then and from what I know of it has'nt made the slightest difference,we alway's had to be extra carefull in the daytime and thats still the same,a ban only work's if you abide by it,there's still plenty of coursing going on by the hardcore minority,it doesn't matter what your running,be it fox, rabbit, hare, etc if your trespassing, then its illegal, the best we can hope for is that the constraint's of the police budget will have a large effect on the policing of the countryside, once police redundancies kick in the police force we have seen under a labour government will not be there but a smaller force having to cope with innercity crime that will increase due to benefit cut's,then with a bit of luck they will ease up policing the countryside so heavilly and we can get on with our chosen sports, good hunting, wirralman

It would help if people respected the land they are on and the quarry seen too many idiots giving coursing a bad name ploughing up farmers fields, being abusive. A farmer over my way had a whole barn burned down with his combine, tractor etc. all because he confronted hare coursers that were on his land, that was very sporting of them :hmm:
