Guest Leveller
they might make it harder than it is already by putting in to many rules . They can't they have to completely scrap the act, there won't be any extra rules or exceptions it will be confined to the history books Quote Link to post

wirral countryman 2,110
I really don't see that the ban has made it any different for most, certainly round here anyway,it was alway's illegal to course where you did'nt have permission to be and that cover's most of the estate land in the northwest,it never stopped anyone then and from what I know of it has'nt made the slightest difference,we alway's had to be extra carefull in the daytime and thats still the same,a ban only work's if you abide by it,there's still plenty of coursing going on by the hardcore minority,it doesn't matter what your running,be it fox, rabbit, hare, etc if your trespassing, then its illegal, the best we can hope for is that the constraint's of the police budget will have a large effect on the policing of the countryside, once police redundancies kick in the police force we have seen under a labour government will not be there but a smaller force having to cope with innercity crime that will increase due to benefit cut's,then with a bit of luck they will ease up policing the countryside so heavilly and we can get on with our chosen sports, good hunting, wirralman Quote Link to post
robo-christ 40
i wish that was true wirral countryman, but i think seeing as more and more bunny huggers are popping up and most poachers are relatively easy to catch the filth will use them to reach there quotas and make it look as if they are actually doing something, easier than catching real criminals. wirral countryman 2,110
Robo, most get caught by using and parking car's in daft places, there will not be enough police to cover the city beats never mind the country, our helicopter is going, thats the first step in the right direction, how will they justify overtime and wages on poacherwatch??it will be next year before the cuts bite, wirralman Quote Link to post

ban is just a word 43
for me it doesnt even enter my head, ban is just a word. Quote Link to post
robo-christ 40
i really hope your right wirral but the pigs have quotas to meet, and if there is an easy way for them to make them they will take it,and poaching is one of those things that a minority feel strongly enough about for them to make some statistics up on. but like i said hope your right Quote Link to post
Work them hard 339
It would help if people respected the land they are on and the quarry seen too many idiots giving coursing a bad name ploughing up farmers fields, being abusive. A farmer over my way had a whole barn burned down with his combine, tractor etc. all because he confronted hare coursers that were on his land, that was very sporting of them Edited November 18, 2010 by Work them hard Quote Link to post
