HW95

Recommended Posts

Aye up.

I have come to sing the praises of "Tony Wall" ( Sandwell Field Sports )

Tony has just tuned my HW95.

He has turned a nice rifle into an excellent one.

It is very smoothe, and quiet, recoil has dropped noticably too.

Excellent man to talk to, and his service is first class, very, very, helpfull man.

Tony's prices are very reasonable too, well worth the money spent.

a lot better now bill, thanks to the strap mate

i aint sending das gypo for a while tho, i'm enjoying shooting it as it is, and i'm coming on a lot better now, but when i reckon that i'm shooting it as well as its able i'll get it all fettled up nicely.

i'm waiting on the ol' lincoln jeffries to come back from a tune up at the mo as well, so thats gonna be getting some action as soon as poss, really looking forwards to a bit of proper old school shooting with it. specially as i've found some nice looking pheasants up the valley that i'm saving for boxing day morning.

cheers mate, wurz

Great to read this Bill.

I've read from zini's posts and responses how highly he rates the tuning skills of Tony Wall at Sandwell Field Sports. And now here you are! It's really heartwarming to read of chaps like this, who are still out there offering an excellent standard of workmanship and service for reasonable costs. I'm going to get my own HW95 and HW80s sorted by, and treat myself to this Gentleman's handiwork with an HW77 order, once Christmas is out of the way.

In the meantime, I'm really keen to hear how your "renewed and improved" HW95 performs on your hunting sorties with it. :victory:

Nice one Bill,

My AA TX HC will be sent to SFS over Christmas/New Year, have already spoke over the phone with Tony, top bloke. Must say very reasonably priced for the work he does! Only downside there is a bit of a waiting list, but then thats to be expected, I would be worried if there wasn't.

Kind Regards,

Mikey.

Hi Bill buddy,

Great to hear mate, I wouldn’t have thought any less though from Tony Wall.

I’ve had 4 rifles tuned from him buddy.

All magnificent works of art.

HW97K .22

HW95 Spectre Carbine .177

HW95K .177

HW97KT .22

He’s the only one I go to for spring piston rifle tuning.

The man is a genius when it comes to tuning Springer’s and he is cheap and the quality is second to none.

I once said this on a clip on YouTube and I got slagged to death by PM from other shooters saying what about the Popes and JB’s of this world, so I’m threading very carefully here.

I would seriously give him 10 out of 10 for every rifle he has tuned for me.

That’s me, Mark Vining, Jack Reid, Buster and now you Bill all rating him highly.

Someone should do a thread to be pinned pointing new shooters where to go for tuning, mods, silencers etc.

My personal recommendations from work I’ve seen are, yes there are others out there but I’m going on what I’ve seen and not what I’ve heard are:

Springer tuning / fixing – Tony Wall, no questions asked

Silencers and PCP mods including barrel shortening – Adrian Waugh every time

PCP tuning - Simon Howarth (Tench) or John Bowkett

Regulators - Simon Howarth (Tench)

Good luck with the HW95 Bill.

What’s everyone else’s list of top rifle tuners and mod men?

Si

Hiya Guy's.

There is nothing more I would like, than to be contributing to the hunting post's.

Unfortunatley I am not getting out in the fields at the momment, as my back and leg's are not to clever.

Still waiting for my next injection appointment :censored:

All I can manage at the momment is a ride to my mate's range for a bit of plinking :icon_redface:

BUT as soon as I get my next fix......Ill be out with a vengence, and hopefully contributing again

Not been able to work for the past year, luckily we have another business to keep us ticking over, my wife is working like a deamon bless her.

So, if some of you are wondering why I have my rifles tuned and fettled, and post bugger all.....now you know :thumbs:
