lead shot

Has anyone had a ferret affected by lead shot, I thought the gut is so short it wouldn't be a problem?

i never had a problem with lead shots and my ferrets would be fed rabbit regulary that have been hit with shotguns

i find the shot in the corner dont think they will swallow it.they spit it out.well would you.there no as daft as u think those wee critters

In my working ferrets book it says there mouths are that small they just spit them out,I was worried about this in the summer when I was feeding pigeon took with an air rifle not had any probs mate

When i put shot rabbits in you can still see some shot sticking to the pelt when you remove it so i reckon there bright enough not to eat it .

Just have one that has turned funny after eating one but I think it might just be old age.
