Yes! Take him out on the lead watching and learning with an experienced dog.

You will regret it when the dog gets to 3 years old and is crippled!

I always go with the thought, if you need to ask if something is ok to do, you know it isn't so dont do it.

my dog was allowed to chase hard rabbits since a young age and yaps, hes getting better now tho after catching a few and only yaps from time to time.

Totally illegal, Snakes let it watch other dogs on the lamp for a couple of months first then try it on easy rabbits, for example in the middle of the field, short slips on to them. All the best with the pup mate

defo not you ,ll ruin your dog ,lev=ave him till about 10 ,12 month,you could frustrate the dog showing him things 2 early thats when yapping comes into it ,start 2 take him out 2 watch at about 9 months or 10 months with a experience dog ,and then give him the easiest slip possible,atb..with your pup..dh

Why rush my opinion is it takes 2 to 3 years to make a good dog and 2 to 3 minutes to ruin a potentialy good one just bide your time and let the pup be a pup and mature and enjoy watching it learn instead of pushing it what harm can waiting another 4 to 6 months

take him out mate 1 or 2 slips once or twice a weeks wont do him no harm, every pup ive had has been started at about 6 or 7 month and stuff with teeth about 10 or 11 month

Mine is tethered and watching very excitedly at 5 months. There's no need to show here she's unable to catch anything as a pup. I'll wait until she can keep up with her mum.

mmmm my input at 6months of age hes still very young,BUT he should be very keen and wanting to chase

iv seen too many left in pens and not showing no interest whatso ever,get them out but only to watch
