chartpolski 25,045
It's OK to have as many dogs as you want, as long as you can afford to feed them properly, can afford the vet bills or insurance; can give them proper kenneling and have enough work for them or can give them the excersize they need. I've had three dogs before, but prefer to have two; but thats just my preference. Cheers. Quote Link to post

Saluqihounds 150
9 here, 1 is Bedlington terrier O/H's pet alright for a bit of fun bushing, 4 lurcher's are retired due to injuries youngest retiree is 6, 2 are 10 and one 14. That leaves the 4 Salukis, 1 is 6 year old, 2 are her sons 1 of which I kept from the litter and the other came back to me this year, meaning am over dogged by one as I have a young bitch coming on as well. Being self employed and having family and horses it has been a struggle to get them as much work as usually would but they are not lacking exercise and are getting there teeth into something most days/nights. For the future I will ideally only have 2 or 3 at the most ( the 3 only being when 1 of the 3 is old IE 9+). I ended up with loads because the lurcher's were getting injuries left right and centre so I ended having to have a whole heap of them to be able to guarantee having someting to get out with. watchman 256
never had more than two at any time, sometimes i feel one is never enough and two is more than enough lol but they get plenty work which is all that matters really, would do my head in if i couldn't get out due to an injury so pays for me in the long run Quote Link to post

My dogs are my buddies for life. Quote Link to post
