scent 509
the birth of my 2 kids are def the proudest moments of my life without a doubt. After loosing 2 babies last year and then having the privilage of seeing my beautiful daughter being born ,i was def the proudest man on earth that day. Also there was a time when my 9 year old boy was getting hassle off a bully in school so i told him what to do .@ days later i get a call from his school saying my son had knocked out the tooth of a certain bully. Now that was a very proud moment indeed

SNAP SHOT 194
Well for me my proudest moment SO far in my life, Has been returning lost bodies from sea accidents, or those taking their own lives, To their families, As part of a search and recovery unit, you notice there is no RESCUE, As by the time we get the call its a body search, i no longer am part of the dive recovery unit due to a colapsed lung, which means i can NEVER dive again.... But i feel proud that i've united families with their loved one's who otherwise may have not had a body to lay to rest... maybe one day when kids come into the mix things will change, but for me that is my proudest moment personally so far, and seeing my sis come back from deaths door as a 14 year old..... and my dads battle to beat cancer.... Seems we all got some great things to be proud off, nice one folks... Snap..
danw 1,748
Cant say I have ever sacrificed any thing for anybody in my life I have lived and worked a selfish life as most keepers do with little thought for my family and a particularly insular out look to life, so if I am honest on my death bed I should feel honoured and humble that my friends and family have stood by me and any success in my life is down to them and their continued support
gnasher16 30,241
For me the proudest moment within the home would be knowing that having grown up in squalor and poverty in one of the poorest parts of east london i got my kids out into a beautiful home with a great education and set them up in buiseness so that they would never have to do some of the shit i did ! Proudest moments outside the home was never letting a lack of natural ability ever stop me achieving the sporting goals i set myself. As a wise old man once told me " son,the hardest fights you ever have in life will be those when you are matched into yourself "...the words of Mr.Ronnie Barton,British Light Heavyweight Champion 1956 Very nice topic this, makes for some nice if somewhat emotional reading Edited November 14, 2010 by gnasher16
