Deer/Grey x Collie/Grey

Recommended Posts

i used to have one.he was a great dog.unfortunatly came to an early end.broke his neck lamping.alot of people really rate this cross

My regular lamping partner Timmyk had one that also broke its neck, damn shame too as it was a very good dog.

Though, he did manage to breed a very good bitch out of it, to a half bred bull bitch.

She's just about all i'd want in any dog, looking for all the world like a deerhoundy lurcher, fine, racy and 'the' most agile dog, you just can't see any bull in there... Until she 'goes'!! ;)

I've got one. Dam is first x D/G, sire is first x C/G. Both worked regular and taking all quarry day and night. She 7 months old on the 21st. She 26" tts now, easy to train, bright ,agile, fast and getting stronger by the day. She's the most promising pup I've had. I'm quite pleased with her. :D Will get some pics up soon.

The only type of lurcher i keep now, genuine allrounders, might not be the best dogs on certain disciplines but will hold there own,as an allround package i dont believe there is a better cross. If you find a litter that is well balanced, retaining the attributes of all its breeding, you wont go far wrong.

Anyone got one?

Ive heard a few people say they have seen them and they are really good. What are your experiences with the cross?

Wouldn't mind seeing pics if anyone got one?
