were the cylinder screws on to the gun there is a little oring seal on the gun side not cylinder they leek from there most times seal looks ok but still may need changing my mates gun is the same common problem with hw100s.

if its not that its the valve try taking cylinder off dry fire it and put back on .

if its a early one valves used to go quite a lot karl a guns international has had loads to repair over the years

fingers crossed its not the valve

My turn to learn something new

Are regulators built into the action or are they built into the cylinder or can they be built into either?

I always thought they were built into the cylinder

Come on spill the beans and educate me some more!

They can be built into either, my hw100 has the regulator built into the action not the cylinder. More shots per fill i guess "Vorsprung durch Technik"

Self regulating is a spectacular example of marketing speak. It actually means "not regulated" and is supposed to imply that the system is so clever that it doesn't need regulating.

I always took the "Self Regulating" bit to mean its crap until it hits its sweet spot. IE pressure is enough to let the valve be knocked open by the hammer and shut again by the pressure, until the pressure got so low that the valve can not remain shut and thus allows the last of it to vent :p

I did know that there was no physical regulator fitted, I'm not that thick :tongue2:
