u can mate but best getting one for each job as dogs locators get hammed of it quarry unlike ferrets locators that the way i done it have two and the dogs i work to ground wouldnt take out with ferret use diffrent dogs

Deben mk 3 terrier long distance locator works with deden mk3 ferret collars.Even though terrier locator is nt best one on the market.Will do both . And ferret collar only gose to 15 ft
