Ideation 8,216
malamute x grey...put it in to the search engine... the posts speak for them selves, plus i been out and seen them work..... spot on...... What you know about dogs could be written on a postage stamp and still leave room for you to sign your name. The malx are cracking dogs, take some beating on big quarry and can scoop up rabbits no problem. I wouldn't expect them to take too many hares though, not on big land at least. Dans got the right idea. I'd go for a pup out of the two best running dogs you can find doing the job you want your dog to do. Who gives a toss about the breeds in it. Quote Link to post
collie/grey 238
I'd be happy with the dogs i own now but would quite like a collie/grey x saluki/grey in the future for when the bans are lifted or a saluki/grey x bull/grey. Quote Link to post
earthdogrunningdog1986 0
It's the same with all xs of lurchers not all make the grade I used to keep bull x greyhounds and didn't make the grade on the lamp but were good daytime dogs I personally don't rate bullxgreyhounds cause I ain't had a positive experience with em but other people sware by them Quote Link to post

dai dogs 1,636
say the hunting ban was got rid of and all hunting was legal what would be your ideal lurcher for rabbit hare fox and deer and what would be your reason for choosing such a lurcher ? staghound x greyound bred to a collie greyhond then the result bred back to a first cross bull greyhound. reason- worked this cross.... Maximus Ferret 2,063
The day the ban gets lifted will be the day I give up hunting my dogs. It would be anarchy, have a little think about what would actually happen. Think about the amount of idiots that would run wild as more than ever. Not my cup of tea. That's the most interesting reply on the thread Artic. Seriously though, if the ban was lifted it would still only be legal for those with permission. There were no more "cowboys" before the ban than after and I'm sure most of us have done a little freelancing in the past. Quote Link to post
salukimad 9
Probably have a saluki/collie greyhound put back to a bull/wheaton greyhound(ANIMAL) Quote Link to post
