I've been feeding my 7 week old puppy on James wellbeloved turkey an rice kibble puppy biscuits and it's going straight through him. And I'm talkin like curry sauce!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated by me aswell as poor little snoop. thanks in advance. Happy hunting!!

I'm assuming you just got it from the breeder? 7 weeks is a bit young to get from a breeder but they should tell you what it has been fed on and the amount. A big change in diet will make most dogs sick but especially a puppy. The suggestions above are spot on but it's important to change their diet slowly. Good luck

If it's not what he's used to, that could be the reason, when you get a pup you should feed what it's been reared on,then if you want to change, do it gradually. If he seems well apart from the runs , as has been said, starve and I would find out what it was reared on and go back to that for awhile . If he is looking sorry for himself, get him to the vets.

a change of food wil upset him

if his motions are stil loose after 48 hrs try sum human antibiotics. just a tiny bit sprinkled on food.

Save u a fortune in the vets, Basicly anything with cilyn on the end! amoxacilyn , pen ect ect

what is the protien % in the food that you are giving the pup i will go off what crobinc840 says , it will be its food it takes time for a pups stomach to addapt to change of diet , normal aweek a good puppy food and read the instructions . i would just keep an eyes on the little feller has he had first injection yet

just fed the little fella boiled rice and chicken which was promptly followed by a runny mess on the floor. is this to be expected or should i start to worry?????????

 

 

take the pup to the vet pal .. better safe than sorry , :thumbs:
