I have a 19 month old russell and 6 month old patterdale what is the best way to break them to work with ferrets.

the russell is always trying to hunt them and the patterdale pup is starting to follow suit.

ANY IDEAS

best to break them when they are pups mate i tried with my 2 terriers and they just want to kill the ferret. iv got a whippet which is steady with the ferret but while out at the weekend she got too close to the ferret and it nearly bit her nose off ouch, luckely she backed off but the fert would have been dead if hed tried that with a terrier especially if you work the dogs on rats - good luck with it. i would put this post in ferret section aswell mate atb
