help wanted please

Hi I am after a air rifle but need help on what to get, I have only ever owned cheap tacky air rifles, I am after something that will take rabbits etc, I am more off a lamping person with my dogs and fancy doing abit off shooting aswell, price range is not great up to the 200 pound mark, what's best air gun, gas gun etc thanks dave

if you can find a secondhand faclon fn19 raptor(multishot) for that price then it will be a great bargain had one 5 years andnever had a problem and if i was ever to get another airgun it would be a falcon once again..

A quality second hand HW will serve you very well for years to come, as will a second user Air Arms Springer

Hi mate.

I'll second Phantom's answer. Look for a second hand Weihrauch HW80 or HW77. Or Air Arms TX200 spring rifle. Utterly reliable and supreme accuracy and build quality that will last you a lifetime. Or you are back to a cheap, nasty, poor quality rifle in PCP format this time around. Two hundred quid will not get you a reliable, quality PCP rifle PLUS charging gear.

HW or a AA if you want a really good springer mate, maybe the new mark 3 Webley which looks really nice and comes with a silencer fitted now.

 

I love the HW95K or the heavier HW97K, owned them both and rate them massively.

 

The named above will take all Uk legal vermin to max range if your a good enough shot.

 

I took 18 rabbits in the Summer with my HW97KT in about 5 hours with a guy from this section Davyt63.

 

Have a look on the for sale section mate maybe you will be lucky.

I know someone who claims he was given a TX200 and tuned to well into FAC levels and the daft clunt claims he does the biz on Lord Charles with it and (get his LOL) Marksman and Bulldog pellets in .177 his claims are of course utter and total fantasy and he's a :crazy: :wankerzo4: for even dreaming of that particular fantasy :lazy: I

 

But I did have a hold and it shouldered just like it was designed to fit my frame intimately and although a tincy little heavy for me at the time compareed to my baby (but I'd soon learn to live with that) it sort of felt at the time almost like "Perfection"

 

The TX is one gun that I will own in the future
