ryangolding 4
i had the same problem with the leather mk3m collar, a bit to tight!!! so just put another hole in it. Quote Link to post
jackwhippet 3
Yeah my problem is this its as tight as I would want to take it on the fert and she still escapes so I was thinking of a harness as it wraps around the front legs and would be harder to escape from Quote Link to post
Aaron_butcher 17
it should be tight enough that you cant pull it over there head but loose enough that you can twist it round Quote Link to post
ryangolding 4
only problem with a harness is if it get caught on roots or something that could snag your jill in the burrow. Quote Link to post
chrisnick 1
i had the same problem so i just added extra holes and also in between the existing holes never had a problem since also a harness would get caught on the nets even more than the collars do. Quote Link to post
Jamie m 668
Yep as said more holes and you need it on tight or you will be diging for a collar Quote Link to post
theferreter 311
as said mate just put more holes in it till you get the right size to fit your ferret if you can spin the collar and it cant come over its head then thats you sorted even if you think its to tight its fine dont forget your ferrets have put on there winter coats so you will have to adjust the collar to suit Quote Link to post
jackwhippet 3
It's happened again whilst out this morning I put the locator on search it was telling me ferret was 14ft away then as I looked to my right low and behold there was the collarless fert as I fitted the collar to her I could spin it but not pull it over her head there is no way i'm digging every time I go out Quote Link to post
Aaron_butcher 17
make another hole and do it up tight. as long as your ferret can breath its fine. when its on try and pull it off over the ferrets head. Quote Link to post
fitchet 788
put it one the ferret when its in its hutch\court then it might not try so hard to get the collor of Quote Link to post
