I am for equal rights, not immigrants having more rights. That's still racism, it doesn't matter which way around it is. I agree often governments go too far in trying to appease certain groups and that needs to stop. Its like our hunting, they often go too far to appease the antis. There is nothing wrong with being proud of your country or even county as long as you realise it doesn't make you better or worse than people from elsewhere. Where you are born is just a lottery. If the odds turned out differently for you then you could have been born in Pakistan. It's not like you got to choose. Why would people praying affect me? I really don't care if they buy the house next door and use that. I would care if they were doing something illegal near me but I would also care if there were white Cornishmen doing something illegal. Contrary to popular belief sterotyping doesn't work, its like saying girls from Sweden are all sexy or all Northerners are idiots, one or two might be but no matter how hard you want it to be true for all of them its not. I am personally not a fan of any religion and do not believe in god myself but I have no problem with anyone else worshipping whoever they want but if they knock on my door then I have the freedom of speech to tell them to get f****d. Going back to the original subject we should be protesting him. Not for being a crazy Muslim but for being an ungrateful ignorant disgrace of a human being. Very well put. As Voltaire said "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." Took the words right out of my mouth Scales. The fact that he CAN stand on the street and say those things is what generations of soldiers have fought for. No, you probably wouldn't get away with it in certain other countries, and THAT is what's so "Great" about "Great Britain"! You say you are proud of your area.....but what exactly are you proud of ? its beauty,its culture,tradition etc etc ?....thats all well and good......but what if that area was then filled to the brim with people and cultures totally alien to what you know .....will you still have pride in your area and be proud to come from cornwall,a place you no longer recognise ? I am a very proud East Londoner but at the same time deeply ashamed of how we have allowed our area to be taken from under our noses,ashamed of how we have fled the area myself included......pride takes many forms.....and i dont see how anybody can be proud of something they dont know or understand.....and by and large we dont know or understand these people.
