I know what the latin words translate to, and am familiar with it's use by a proud fraternal organisation that has hundreds of years of history behind it, am curious though as to why the star of David has been used with a latin inscription and the edl logo? What's next for the edl? I'd love to read an explanation for this one, and not one copied and pasted from their facebook page! Have I missed the bit where the edl accept we are all descended from the same tribes of Israel? The simplest explanation could be that the edl leadership think they are direct descendents of Moses maybe? The reason he can burn poppies and pretty much get away with it is because of the brave people those poppies are designed to remember. They fought so our country is free and being proud that someone is able to burn poppies is part of that. Doesn't mean that the guy isn't a complete c**t but thats part of being a free country. He has the right to do it and we have the right to tell him hes a wanker. It's those same freedoms that allow us all to come on here and complain. I severely disagree with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq but I give my full support to our soldiers there trying to make to make the best of it. A quick pat on the head, a "well done, you've made your point, now crawl back under the rock you came from" would have dealt with this, rather than the manipulative media getting all outraged and shouty about it. It's a shame that more of the population can't stop for a minute, and think, and NOT be manipulated by the right wing media! As for the EDL using a Templar inscription, that's as much of an abuse of a sign as burning the poppy! The Templars (as they are today, a part of Freemasonry) welcome any male who is sound of mind and body. They do not discriminate because of race, or religion. How the unholy alliance that is the EDL can use that inscription is beyond me! (I note the American Nazi Party have been known to use that phrase, so maybe that tells us something?)
