snakes1989 1
good evening everyone my training with blaze is coming on nicely his retrieve is get better day by day( yes i know its only been 3 days lol) his recall is getting better and to be honest i dont think he will need much traning on that side of things as he littrally follows me everywhere perden the pun but like a lost puppy lol but we will see when hes had his jabs and out with discrations. his stay is good but can do with abit of improvment (he will stay for about 3 minutes then come and follow me) and when ever he is by me he just lays down soo im in two minds wether to train to sit and he just lies down when i say sit. ive been putting a lead on him and hes what the lurcher hand book describes as a fighter not a flopper lol i kno this is abit naughty of me but i walked him down a quiet street just near me and let go of the lead and he walked right next to me but but i picked him straight back up after a minute and yet again im in two minds wether to train to walk to heel as he seems to do it anyway but yet agen time will tell. hes been a little nippy but if i say nicely he stops biting and starts licking and on the food side of things he was on raw rabbit but im weaning him onto a dried complete and soo far no upset to his stomach apart from really bad farts lol i fill his food bowl up and he eats whenever hes hungry and doesnt scoff the whole lot down in one(i dunno if this is a bad thing but compared to my old staff who used to littrally scoff the whole lot down in one lol) im taking him out(being carried) during all weathers rain, wind sun and hes bit nervous of the dark but is getting better . and just out of interest when would you reconmend i take him out on the lamp for a little umm whats the word taster of whats to come in the future. all in all im very pleased with him and is going to be a big part in my life in the world of lurchering atb snakes ps heres alittle vid of me n blaze doing some retrieving trainning <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid124.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fp16%2Fsnakes1989%2FMOV_0028.mp4"> Edited November 11, 2010 by snakes1989 Quote Link to post
