Mastiff 7
I'm sure I'm not the only person that found the "Pinned" topics on how to apply for FAC & SGC helpful (The one's at the top of the page by Sporting Shooter). Was wondering if anybody would be willing to write a similar thread on applying for a variation as I haven't a clue and don't like admitting as much to my FEO. Cheers, Mick. Quote Link to post
GRAM71 29
variations come in 3 catergories, 1 for 1, which is basically a swap and is free, an application for more or different calibers which costs £26 last time i did one, and a change in conditions. the first two require you to fill in the FAC application form, you don't need to add photos or details of your counter signatories tho, leave that bit blank. REMEMBER to add all the calibres you have inc moderators, ammo limits and type (expanding). the change in conditions only requires that you send in your licence with a covering letter and any qualifications such as DSC etc giving reasons for change of conditions. for example, to add deer after passing dsc1 or changing from a closed licence to having those restrictions removed, adding certain species to the quarry list etc. hope this helps... gram. Also please remeber if you sell rifle, write to Firearm office say you need to keep this calibre to replace at later date when you need (this can be also 1-1 variation, change calibre etc)or Firearm office remove this from you licence . Then you may have to re-apply Quote Link to post

Colster 1
Just a small point, when filling in the form for a variation: REMEMBER to add all the calibres you have inc moderators, ammo limits and type (expanding). ... including any empty slots as well, don't just list the guns/mods that you own.
